Agnieszka Papierska, violín

Agnieszka Papierska (1988) es una violinista y violista historicista polaca. Tras graduarse en violín moderno se dedicó a la interpretación históricamente informada. Recientemente ha finalizado su Máster en el Conservatorio Real de La Haya en la clase de Enrico Gatti. Desde muy joven actuó con muchos ensembles y orquestas profesionales. Comenzó su carrera en el Teatro Musical ROMA de Varsovia con el que interpretó el estreno polaco del musical El Fantasma de la Ópera. Más tarde, mientras todavía era estudiante, colaboró con la Orquesta Filarmónica de Lodz donde tuvo la oportunidad y el placer de trabajar con muchos solistas y directores extraordinarios como Midori, Ivo Pogorelich, Piotr Anderszewski o Daniel Raiskin.
Sin embargo, a pesar de estas fantásticas experiencias en el campo de la música clásica, el amor y el interés hacia la interpretación históricamente informada se impuso. Desde entonces Agnieszka desarrolla su carrera en el violín barroco como solista y músico de cámara.  La versatilidad es una de las cualidades que le caracterizan: se siente igual de cómoda interpretando sonatas de violín del siglo XVII como redescubriendo la técnica del violín del
siglo XIX.
Agnieszka ha actuado en muchas salas de conciertos importantes en Europa, entre otros, en Concertgebouw (Amsterdam, Países Bajos), Centro Cultural Lisboa (Portugal), Gran Teatro de Provence (Aix Provence, Francia), Tivoli Vredenburg (Utrecht, Países Bajos), Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ (Amsterdam, Países Bajos), Auditorium Cesare Pollini (Padua, Italia), Auditorium del Parco (L’Aquila, Italia), Sala de Música de Cámara de Berliner Philharmoniker (Alemania), Cine-Theatro Central en Juiz de Fora (Brasil).

Javier

Javier Ovejero Mayoral (theorbo)

After graduating in classical guitar with Gabriel Estarellas at Madrid conservatory, Javier Ovejero Mayoral specialised in plucked instruments from the Renaissance and Baroque eras, under the guidance of Juan Carlos de Mulder and Juan Miguel Nieto. He holds a master degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, with Joachim Held, and Mike Fentross.

He took part in masterclasses with Hopkinson Smith, Nigel North, Eligio Quinteiro, Robert Barto and Konrad Junghänel.

He is regularly performing  in Spain, France, Switzerland, Belgium and in the Netherlands with ensembles such a, Thesaurus Ensemble, Ars Combinatoria, Compañia de Teatro de Manuel Canseco, Capella Saetabis, Anima di Corda, Academia de los Nocturnos, Cicconia Consort, Re-Orquestra, Vox luminis.


Giorgos Samoilis (violin)Giorgos

Half Greek half Venezuelan, Giorgos was born in Athens in 1986. He received his first violin lessons at the age of seven from Mirela Papa. In 1997 he moved to Thessaloniki where he continued his violin lessons in the state conservatory and in the Synchrono Conservatorium with Dimitris Chandrakis and Mikis Michaelides receiving his violin diploma in January 2006 with a special award for outstanding performance. On 2007 he continued his studies in Vienna with Regina Brandstaetter and Sylvia Viertel. After meeting Simos Papanas and geting inspired by him, he became very interested in historically informed performance practice and decided to continue his studies in that field. In 2010 Giorgos moved to the Netherlands where he studied baroque violin and baroque viola at the conservatory of Utrecht with Antoinette Lohmann obtaining his diploma in June 2014. Currently he continues his studies in the masters program at the conservatory of Utrecht. He has given many concerts as member of orchestras, ensembles and as soloist in countries like Greece, Austria, Germany, France, the Netherlands and more. He has been an active member in workshops and masterclasses receiving lessons from Bron, Malikian, Demertzis, Papanas, Onofri, Hazelzet, Caecilia-Concert, Sempe, Meel. Since 2013 Giorgos together with the harpsichord player Alex Mastichiadis formed the ensemble “DissensoDuo” that is specializing in the music for violin and basso continuo from around 1600 until the late 18th century. DissensoDuo has given concerts in Greece and The Netherlands and on September 2015 appeared on the fabulous fringe concert series of the “oude muziek festival” in Utrecht.

Roberto AlonsoRoberto Alonso (violoncello and percussion)

After studying violoncello in Vigo and Salamanca (Spain), he moved to The Hague, where he obtained his diploma
on baroque cello in the Koninklijk Conservatorium with Lucia Swarts. He has attended lessons by Jaap ter Linden, Wilbert Hazelzet, Sebastien Marq, Barthold Kuijken… His experience as a baroque cellist includes concerts in all Europe with groups like the Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Real Compañía Ópera de Cámara, Estil Concertant and Anima Eterna. He is co-founder of Les Esprits Animaux, Temperamento, and Ensemble Actéon.


Giulio Quirici, tiorba y guitarra barrocaGiulio Quirici

Giulio Quirici nace en 1987 en Vicenza, Italia; ha tocado en orquestas y directores como Frans Bruggen y Orchestra
of the 18th Century, Lionel Meunier y Vox Luminis, Enrico Onofri, Milos Valent, Andrea Friggi y Ensemble Odyssee, Charles Toet, Philippe Pierlot, etc.

Es miembro fundador del galardonado grupo Radio Antiqua, con el que toca en los más importantes festivales de Europa. Giulio se graduó en el Real Conservatorio de La Haya, donde estudió jazz y música antigua; además ha asistido a cursos del Berklee College of Music, la Akademie für Alte Musik Bremen y la New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Sus profesores fueron Mike Fentross, Joachim Held, Paolo Birro y Michele Calgaro. Además Giulio es un activo pedagogo y enseña en la British School en Holanda.


SusanneSusanne Herre (theorbo)

Susanne Herre (Duitsland) studeerde mandoline aan het conservatorium van Zij behaalde diverse prijzen op nationale en internationale concoursen, en zij kreeg de mogelijkheid om deel te nemen aan concertreizen van het European Union Youth Orchestra onder leiding o.a. van Bernhard Haitink en het Lucerne Festival Academy onder leiding van Pierre Boulez. Tijdens haar mandoline-studie raakte Susanne steeds meer geinteresseerd in historische uitvoeringspraktijk, waarop zij viola da gamba en luit studeerde bij Rainer Zipperling en Konrad Junghänel aan het Conservatorium van Keulen. Na een jaar studeren aan het Conservatoire van Villeurbanne/Lyon bij Emmanuelle Guiges studeerde Susanne viola da gamba bij Mieneke van der Velden en Philippe Pierlot, en theorbe bij Mike Fentross en Joachim Held aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. Susanne is veelgevraagd musicus bij instrumentale en vocale ensembles, en speelde op diverse festivals, zoals het Festival de Saintes (met Vox Luminis) en Varazdin Baroque Evenings (Kroatie).


Alex 3Alexandra V. Cárdenes (harpsichord)

Alexandra was born in 1987 in Gran Canaria (Spain). At the age of 9 years old she started his musical studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de Canarias.

From 2008 to 2012 studied harpsichord at the CSMA where she specialized in early music with the teachers Silvia Márquez, Saskia Roures and Anna Margules. She ends her studies in Spain in May 2012 and decided to move to The Netherlands for improving her knowledge of the Historical Performance. She is currently studying at The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague with Fabio Bonizzoni and Patrick Ayrton. She has also studied modern harpsichord at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Goska Isphording.

She has attended to Curso internacional de músia de Daroca and Curso de música Antigua de Castilla y León. Since 2008, she has received classes of different harpsichordist like José Luis González Uriol, Tony Millan, Olivier Baumont, Jacques Ogg, Imbi Tarum and Annelie de Man.

She has been part of the group Diabolus in Musica, Alevosía, La Notte, and Inégalité.

In November of 2012 she was finalist of an international competition for modern harpsichord: Prix Annelie de Man 2012 held in Den Bosch (The Netherlands).

Vincent van Amsterdam (1989), graduated for his Master degree Cum Laude at the Conservatory of Tilburg in 2014 and is a.o. prize winner of the Princes Christina Competition (2007) and the Grachtenfestival Conservaotriy Competition (2014). Vincent is a big promoter of his instrument, the classical accordion. His repertoire consist of pieces by e.g. Bach, Sweelinck, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Gubaidulina and Berio. Over the years Vincent has taken several master classes with international renown accordionists e.g. F. Lips, M. Miki, M. Dekkers and W. Semionov. And has played in numerous concert halls in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
